Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family, playing racquet sports and attempting to break 90 on a golf course.
Nick Lemon – Co-Founder/Director, The Lampadina Group
Nick has over 25 years experience in the dental and medical industry, in particular with optics, and is widely regarded as the most knowledgeable personality in the UK when it comes to microscopes and loupes, having sold more than 1,000 microscopes and many more loupes throughout his career.
Since the formation of The Lampadina Group, Nick has helped countless dentists, vets and medical professionals improve their day to day work and prolong their working careers.
Nick has been instrumental in driving forward Lampadina’s growth across all sectors with his forward-thinking, pro-active and intelligent planning.
Outside of work, he enjoys 18 holes as long as it’s sunny and he has a buggy, spending time with his family and avoiding temporary traffic lights – even if it doubles his journey time.
Nikki Pearson – Operations Manager, The Lampadina Group
Nikki is the longest serving and most loyal member of the Lampadina team. Nothing happens at Lampadina HQ without Nikki knowing about it!
Nikki runs the office with military precision, from ensuring the sales team and engineers know where they need to be and when to keeping all of our accounts up to date, taking payments, acting as a dedicated reminder service for Alex and Nick and giving whoever needs it a good talking to if they step out of line. If she doesn’t know an answer, she knows how to find it immediately and should always be your first port of call for any questions!
Outside of work, Nikki enjoys playing the drums, drinking wine (strictly within government guidelines), has tried her hand at paddleboarding, loves a festival, keeping her husband Ben as organised as she does the office and still shows up bright-eyed and bushy tailed at 9am every morning to make us all a coffee – when she’s not on holiday.
Robin Lemon – Sales Manager, South
Robin has quickly become known as “Rob The Microscope Guy” – look him up on Instagram. He is also a fully trained chef but we are yet to sample any of his specialities as he claims his creations don’t travel well.
Robin is based in London and you’ll mostly spot him on microscope courses, at dental practices demonstrating our microscopes and loupes or on the tube with his backpack full of optical brilliance. Robin covers everywhere south of Birmingham so if you have any questions, be sure to give him a call.
Robin has a young daughter with his wife so outside of work he spends most of his time with them or trying to catch up on his sleep!
James Lemon – Sales Manager, North
Straight out of school, James knew he wanted to work in medical sales and has been with The Lampadina Group and CJ-Optik UK for a few years now. James covers from Birmingham right up to The Outer Hebrides and can mostly be found up and down the UK’s motorways doing what he enjoys the most, talking about optics, supporting dental courses and demonstrating our range.
Outside of work, James hasn’t succumbed to having children (yet) so he will be found in a bar or restaurant without a care in the world, or on the golf course.
Gary Young – Lead Engineer
If Gary can’t, then it probably can’t be done.
Gary is a fully qualified electrician, a dab hand at building and can strip down a microscope and put it back together quicker than a Navy Seal can a SIG Sauer P226.
Gary is responsible for ensuring that a microscope can be fitted exactly where one of the salesguys have said it can be fitted, troubleshooting any issues and even reinforcing walls. This is all assuming he is continually drip-fed black coffee.
Outside of work, Gary spends a lot of time helping family out with odd jobs, organising his garage, carrying out maintenance on his trusty VW Transporter, looking after his grandkids and generally being one of the nicest and most useful people you’ll ever meet.
